This policy sets out what may not be sold, said or broadcast on HUB01. It
forms part of the
Platform Terms of Use and
the Merchant Agreement,
and it binds everyone who uses the Platform.
Selling a prohibited item, or broadcasting prohibited content, can end your
account immediately and without refund. Where the conduct is criminal we
report it to the authorities and cooperate fully with them.
1. Trades we are not open to yet
During the soft launch HUB01 takes plainly-safe retail only. The trades
below are not available to any seller for now, licensed or
not, while we put the right approvals in place. The store console
will not let you list them, and applying to sell them will not be approved.
- Food, groceries or drinks.
- Medicines or pharmacy items.
- Medical, clinical or healthcare items and services.
- Supplements or vitamins.
- Tobacco, vapes or shisha.
- Alcohol.
- Weapons or anything that can harm.
- Money, crypto or financial products.
- Adult or gambling items.
- Chemicals or hazardous goods.
- Live animals or animal remains.
This is a temporary position for the launch, not a permanent judgement
about these goods. As HUB01 secures the approvals each of them needs, we
will open the category and publish a new version of this policy.

- Services that are illegal, or that HUB01 cannot verify.
This list is not exhaustive. If you are unsure whether something may be
sold, ask support@hub01.shop
before you list it.
3. HUB01 is not a place for politics
This is a shopping platform. Political and religious
campaigning has no place on it, and we enforce that strictly, on
listings, on live broadcasts, in chat, in your store name, and in your
profile.
You may not use HUB01, in any part of it, to:
- Campaign for or against any political party, candidate, government, cause or ballot.
- Solicit political donations, or organise or promote a protest, boycott or demonstration.
- Commentate on political events, conflicts, foreign policy, or the internal affairs of any state.
- Proselytise, promote or disparage any religion, sect or belief.
- Display or sell political, religious or activist symbols, slogans, flags or merchandise.
- Discuss or display anything relating to an armed conflict, a sanctioned regime, or a terrorist or extremist organisation.
This is not a judgement about any view. It is a rule about what this venue
is for.
It is also a legal requirement. UAE law restricts political and religious
content on public platforms, and content published here is subject to
Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021 on Combatting Rumours and Cybercrimes,
Federal Decree-Law No. 2 of 2015 on Combatting Discrimination and Hatred,
and the media content standards of the TDRA and the UAE Media Council.
4. Keeping HUB01 safe
Live selling puts a real person on camera in front of strangers.
Never, in any part of the Platform
- Sexual content. Nudity, partial nudity, sexually suggestive posing, sexual language, or adult products and services. This applies to a broadcast, a product photo, a store name and a chat message equally.
- Content involving children. A child may not appear in a broadcast without a parent or guardian present and consenting, and never in any sexualised, exploitative or unsafe context. Any material that sexualises a minor is reported to the police immediately and without warning.
- Violence and gore. Real or simulated violence, injury, animal cruelty, self-harm, suicide, or the sale of anything that celebrates them.
- Hate. Attacking, degrading or excluding any person or group by nationality, ethnicity, religion, sex, disability, or any other protected characteristic. Slurs are not banter.
- Harassment. Targeting, threatening, stalking, doxxing, brigading, or repeatedly contacting somebody who has asked you to stop.
- Dangerous acts. Anything filmed that could reasonably injure the person filming it, a bystander, or somebody copying it.
- Substances. Recreational drug use, and the promotion of alcohol or tobacco.
Consent and privacy on a broadcast
- Everyone appearing recognisably on your broadcast must have agreed to be there.
- Do not film a private space, a bystander's face, a vehicle plate, a document, or anything showing another person's address or identity.
- Do not read out, display or repeat a customer's personal details on air, not their name with their address, not their order, not their phone number.
- Do not screen-share, forward or publish a private message.
Protecting customers
- Never ask a customer to pay outside HUB01, or to send money by transfer, link or cash on the promise of a better price. That is the single most common way a shopper is defrauded on a marketplace, and it is grounds for immediate termination.
- Never ask a customer for a password, a one-time code, a full card number, or a copy of their ID.
- Do not use urgency, fake scarcity, fake countdowns or fake stock levels to pressure a purchase.
- Do not impersonate HUB01 support, a delivery company, or a bank.
Moderation
HUB01 may watch any live broadcast, review any recording, and read any
message reported to us. We may end a broadcast, mute a participant, hide a
listing or suspend an account immediately and without prior
notice where we believe someone is at risk. Safety decisions are
made first and explained afterwards.
5. Prohibited conduct
Nobody using the Platform may:
- Defame, insult or expose the private affairs of any person, contrary to Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021.
- Impersonate another person, business or HUB01 itself.
- Publish content about the UAE, its leadership, its institutions or its religion that is unlawful or contrary to national values.
- Manipulate ratings, reviews or viewer numbers, or use bots or fake accounts.
- Take a transaction off the Platform to avoid fees, or ask a customer to pay by another route.
- Advertise a competing marketplace inside a listing, a broadcast or a chat.
- Scrape, crawl, probe, load-test or reverse-engineer the Platform, or interfere with its operation.
- Use the Platform to launder money, finance terrorism, or evade sanctions.
6. Live broadcasting
- You are responsible for everything shown, said and heard on your broadcast, including what a guest or a passer-by says.
- Music, film and other third-party content must be licensed for the use you are making of it.
- Show the actual item you are selling. Do not present stock footage or another seller's product as your own.
- Broadcasts may be recorded and retained for safety, dispute resolution and legal compliance.
- HUB01 may end a broadcast at any time. We will tell you why afterwards where we can.
7. Reporting
Report a listing, broadcast, message or account to
support@hub01.shop
with enough detail to find it. We review every report. We will not tell you
what action we took against another user's account, but we will tell you
that the report was handled.
8. What we do about breaches
We choose the response proportionate to what happened and to whether it has
happened before. Depending on severity we may:
- Remove the listing or content, and tell you why.
- Issue a warning, and require you to fix the underlying problem.
- Restrict a feature (listing, broadcasting or messaging) for a period.
- Suspend the account and hold payouts while we investigate.
- Terminate the account and, for a merchant, retain a reserve against refunds and chargebacks as the Merchant Agreement provides.
- Report the matter to the police, a regulator, or a rights holder.
For the most serious categories, counterfeits, prohibited items, fraud,
content that is criminal, we go straight to termination. There is no
warning step.
9. Appeals
If you believe we got it wrong, reply in your store's verification thread
or write to
support@hub01.shop
within 30 days. A different person than the one who made the original
decision will review it. We will give you an answer within 14 days.
